Jo Ann Cookson, daughter of the late William "Short" and Imogene Hartwell Braswell, was born in Lavelle, Mo., on Dec. 31, 1939, and died at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on Dec. 28, 2011, at the age of 71. She had lived in the Puxico and Wappapello area her entire life. She was a former member of the Paucah Club in Puxico and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Blues Hockey. She worked as a presser for SEMO Imprints...
