Bridge has to meet drainage district requirements

BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Engineer Jeremy Manning informed the Stoddard County Commission that a requirement by the Little River Drainage District would add approximately $30,000 to the cost of replacing a bridge on County Road 784. Willie C. Padgett, Jr., son of the late Willie C. Padgett, Sr. and Pearl Covert Padgett, was born on Dec. 22, 1936, at Cheboygan, Mich., and died on Nov. 18, 2013, at his residence in Bloomfield at the age of 76. Mr. Padgett had worked as a machine operator for General Motors for 30 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of American Legion Post #382 of Bloomfield and a member of the Stoddard County Veterans Honor Guard...
