Old School vs. Hot New Trendy

Every day it seems somebody has found a new method or new exercise that is it, the silver bullet if you will. They seem to come and go just like the seasons but the one that remains and never seems to go out of style is good old strength/resistance training with weights. Even before Charles Atlas ran his now famous comic book ad's 60 years ago weight training existed and even though it was shall we say in the closet the people that did it stood out.
The same basic exercises that Hercules, Steve Reeves used and even the Governor Arold Schwarzenegger are still the same one's that you can use to change your physique and begin doing things that you did not think you could do. Each and every day a member will come up to me and tell me they have done something they had not done in years, or that they are losing inches and how much better they feel. I am a big believer in the old ways and the bodybuilding lifestyle to improve your life. There are no magical gimmiks to it, just hard work, determination and yes sometimes a little soreness. I am not saying you abandon aerobic and cardio, just the opposite, combine them with a weight training program for dynamite results. Nicole continues to make dynamite progress and last evening went for her swim suit fitting and lo and behold in 2 weeks her physique changed so much it did not fit. The confidence she has for this competition is amazing and the things she has learned will be beneficial to women every where no matter what starting point your at.
