OKRA GOULASH
okra, cut up as you would to fry corn meal, enough to coat okra
1/2 cup chopped onion...or the amount you want 1/2 cup chopped peppers, bell pepper/sweet banana pepper corn cut off cob, frozen or canned will work oil, enough to fry okra in You may want to put this in a larger skillet. I cut up the okra to fry, coat with cornmeal, put in oil and cook till about half done, put in onion, pepper and corn, continue cooking to your satisfaction, we love this with fresh tomatoes, it makes a meal for us. I also put salt and black pepper on this while cooking. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
I began cooking at the age of 9 with my father and have always loved trying new recipes. Beware: I am fond of onions and peppers! I am diabetic so I do try to cook more healthy dishes these days. My door is always open to trying and sharing new recipes. Let's see what we can cook up with this blog!

Yum, this sounds great! What kind of oil do you use?
I always cook with olive oil but any kind will work. thanks
Karen, what is needed is a "Hot Water Cookbook." Many people are challenged by cooking that requires any talent beyond heating water and opening a package, such as instant oatmeal or tea.
I just use the oil from my hair GOAT!
Oh, no, poor Karen! The rowdy boys have found your blog! Hang in there, girl! Maybe you can civilize the wild ones.
