A Quick Simple Meal
Ravioli with a Homemade Touch
Five Cheese Ravioli (frozen from Walmart or Aldi's)
1/2 to 1 pound ground chuck
1/2 cup chopped onion
garlic powder
1 jar apaghetti sauce your choice or homemade
mushrooms, optional
Boil ravioli as directed, cook hamburger meat w/ onion and some garlic powder, drain off fat, add spaghetti sauce and sometimes mushrooms. Add all together in a pot and heat up until hot. Easy and yummy!"
Biscuits
425* Preheat Oven
3 cups self rising flour
1/2 cp. butter or 1 stick cold butter (right out of the frig)
1- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
In a large bowl cut butter into flour using pastry cutter or a fork until mixtures resembles fine crumbs. Pour in buttermilk gradually stirring mixture with a fork, until dough is not sticking to the sides of the bowl and the flour is absorbed into dough.
Put dough on a floured surface, knead and roll out 1 1/2 inch thickness, put on a baking pan ungreased and lightly touching each other.
Bake for about 15 minutes or till done.
I brush mine w/ melted butter and honey.
4 tablespoons butter with 2-3 tablespoons honey in a small bowl, microwave for about 45 seconds or till butter is melted. Then you just brush it on top of the hot biscuits
this makes a meal with that kind of homemade touch, something special yet simple and not to long in the kitchen. When we have this we don't have anything with it but a salad or green beans would finish it off nicely..
I would love to hear from some of you about what kind of recipes you would like to see put on here. thanks
