February Activities in Advance

Approximately 4 inches of snow fell on the Advance area on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011. These teens took advantage of a day off from school Friday to play in a field southeast of Advance. Madison Brown, Allie Below, Ashtyn Hudson, Grayson Miles, and Anne Lanpher braved cattle and cold temperatures to partake in winter fun!

Monday, Jan. 24, 2011 - 6:30 p.m. Stoddard County Historical Society meets. New officers will be installed. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month in the Stars & Stripes Museum in Bloomfield.

Tuesday, Feb. 2 - 7 p.m. meeting of the Advance Community Library Board of Directors in the library facility on Highway C next to the old gym. Meetings are always open to the public.

Thursday, Feb. 10 - 6 p.m. Senior Community Center Board of Directors, meeting in the senior center on the corner of Highway C and Poplar, next to the city fire station. This is a week later than usual.

Thursday, Feb. 10 - 7 p.m. meeting of the Advance R-IV Board of Education in the administrative offices at the high school.

Saturday, Feb. 12 - Advance Community Library Sweet Treat Fundraiser

Monday, Feb. 21 - NO MEETING OF ADVANCE ALDERMEN IN FEBRUARY!

Monday, Feb. 28 - 6:30 p.m. regular meeting for the Stoddard County Historical Society in the Stars & Stripes Museum in Bloomfield.
