The DebtPosted Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at 9:39 AM
A great debt was owed that I could not repay
On a Cross with three nails Jesus took it away
Sin no longer my master I am finally free
Things once dreaded are now my delight
But old ways and habits continue to call
In a moment of weakness a bad choice is made
Too ashamed to admit and confess my sin
Secret faults and presumptous sin take control
Lies cover truth as I pretend all is good
Things I once enjoyed now I dread
Disgusted with myself for living a lie
Acknowledging my sin nothing was hid
When an honest and open heart begins to pray
GOD expects perfection not flawlessness
The forgiveness you receive is the forgiveness you give .....peace..... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
A Pure Heart ![]() - Archives - Blog RSS feed - Comments RSS feed - Send email to Gordon Greene - Login I have the heart of a poet, the eye of an artist, and dress like a bum. I am no one important. No title, no position, no authority. Just a normal person. But I know Jesus. And Jesus knows me. And this relationship has changed my life and continues to change my life. I have no desire to be known but great desire for others to know Jesus.
I would like to blog about Jesus, christian living, church, hurting, hope. I do not want to lead this blog but follow it wherever it leads.

beautiful....encouraging and so true...
Awesome!! Reminds me of a chorus we often sing,
"He paid a Debt He Did Not Owe"-
He paid a debt He did not owe;
I owed a debt I could not pay;
I needed someone to wash my sins away.
And, now, I sing a brand new song,
"Amazing Grace."
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.
He paid that debt at Calvary.
He cleansed my soul and set me free.
I'm glad that Jesus did all my sins erase.
I, now, can sing a brand new song,
"Amazing Grace."
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.
One day He's coming back for me
To live with Him eternally.
Won't it be glory to see Him on that day!
I, then, will sing a brand new song,
"Amazing Grace."
Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.
Yes, Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.

Thank God for Grace that Pardons and Purifies due to a Debt paid on Calvary!!
