Where Will You StandPosted Monday, September 12, 2011, at 1:33 PM
You can't stand in the gap and on the stage, too
True ministry never brings glory to you
Lost to the world's eyes but found in GOD's heart
As others are sleeping you watch and pray
Knowing the pain of the weak, hurt, outcast
A nobody in this world in heaven well known
A friend during crisis and then disappear
The words you speak bring peace to a troubled soul
The helpless rescued from a pit of despair
You're unnoticed like a star in the night skies
Each raindrop tear brings life to the earth below
Where will you stand on the stage or in the gap .....peace..... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
A Pure Heart ![]() - Archives - Blog RSS feed - Comments RSS feed - Send email to Gordon Greene - Login I have the heart of a poet, the eye of an artist, and dress like a bum. I am no one important. No title, no position, no authority. Just a normal person. But I know Jesus. And Jesus knows me. And this relationship has changed my life and continues to change my life. I have no desire to be known but great desire for others to know Jesus.
I would like to blog about Jesus, christian living, church, hurting, hope. I do not want to lead this blog but follow it wherever it leads.

Yes, death to self and the "old man" carnal nature is the only way to truly stand.
Your poem reminds me of a song, "Little is Much When God is In It". When we stand before the Judge on that day, God will not reward us for how much applause we recieved, how many friends we have, or how many people know us. We will be rewarded for being faithful!
Very good, brother Greene!
