Our Secret ShamePosted Monday, April 16, 2012, at 3:50 PM
Jabesh-Gilead is once again under attack
Its inhabitants do not have the ability to fight back
Offering to surrender does not satisfy the Ammonite's lust
They plead for time hoping someone will rescue
And yet in the place where prayers meet the cries are heard
"This is not my fight" his spirit asserts
"Yes Lord, I understand, I will go
Always in the past I have fought alone
And every victory that has come from intercessory prayer
So a child warrior once again straps on a sword
Knowing that GOD an army will raise

A Pure Heart ![]() - Archives - Blog RSS feed - Comments RSS feed - Send email to Gordon Greene - Login I have the heart of a poet, the eye of an artist, and dress like a bum. I am no one important. No title, no position, no authority. Just a normal person. But I know Jesus. And Jesus knows me. And this relationship has changed my life and continues to change my life. I have no desire to be known but great desire for others to know Jesus.
I would like to blog about Jesus, christian living, church, hurting, hope. I do not want to lead this blog but follow it wherever it leads.

the sword is of course the Word of God and Intercessory and Imprecatory prayer are also weapons of offense. Prayer for the needs of the helpless and Prayer against our enemy (not people but the devil).
Our secret shame was written for those families who have had children removed from their homes recently during "Spring Cleaning". With the school year soon to end if these children are not removed now then next year the collection of "evidence" has to start all over. It has happened to four families in Stoddard County (three in Dexter) that I know of in the past two weeks.
In a recent conversation with GOD I did tell him it was not my fight. All He said was, "It is My fight." Now what? I don't know.
Richard, there was a time when the church had an actual voice in the community instead of a sells pitch and when the voices of those seeking the one lost sheep was not drowned out by the lullabyes of putting the ninety-nine to sleep (keeping the status quo).
Of course, nothing happens that is not legal. I went thru this five years ago. Thru the whole process I trusted GOD as things went from bad to worse and from wrong to cruel. And everytime I tried to tell my story you could see in the listener's eyes, "Yeah, but what are you leaving out." And before it happened to me I did the same thing.
In our situation we were less than 24 hours from a child being taken from us and had no legal representation. But the GOD of all mercy directed our paths to a law firm in Kansas that specialized in children and the laws concerning them. Interesting thing, much of what is standard operating procedure in Stoddard County whithered in the light of federal law and within thirty days it all went away.
Richard, writing these words ain't smart. Jesus was crucified, John the Baptist beheaded, Paul suffered much, John (the Revelator) was exiled. Martin Luther was excommuniated, John Bunyan spent much of his adult life in jail. Darkness will always hate light and evil will always resist truth.
Well, anyways, Richard, borrowing a line from The Alabaster Box, my love is greater than my fear and how can I be silent when I see what they are doing to Jesus.
Matthew 25:45(Amp) And He will reply to them, Solemnly I declare to you, in so far as you failed to do it for the least (in the estimation of men] of these, you failed to do it for Me.

Gordon, thanks so much for sharing this. Thanks so much for the testimonial of how God, the Great Attorney, came thru in your stead for you and your wife and your child! No, the words may not be smart in the world's way of looking at it, but you know what? There is power in them. Power from above!
1 Corinthians 2:4
"And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:"
2 Corinthians 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
Yesterday, I preached a message, "Spiritual Dynamite in Small Places" at Central Gardens. A couple friends of ours, whom you know were there giving their support. Brother, we will never know the impact we have on others until that day you refer to above in Matthew 25. God, help me to do my part!
