Innocent BloodPosted Monday, July 16, 2012, at 6:12 AM
With churches all around she suffered alone
Too bad they all were made of stone
She talked much but no one hears
Evil took away what she treasured most
Unsatisfied they had to steal her hope
A tortured soul in so much pain
Innocent blood was shed that day .....judgement..... Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |
A Pure Heart ![]() - Archives - Blog RSS feed - Comments RSS feed - Send email to Gordon Greene - Login I have the heart of a poet, the eye of an artist, and dress like a bum. I am no one important. No title, no position, no authority. Just a normal person. But I know Jesus. And Jesus knows me. And this relationship has changed my life and continues to change my life. I have no desire to be known but great desire for others to know Jesus.
I would like to blog about Jesus, christian living, church, hurting, hope. I do not want to lead this blog but follow it wherever it leads.

Well, judgement will come eventually. Johnny Cash sang a song called "That Old Wheel".
These are my words:
"Every body has their day, everybody's gotta pay,
What goes around comes around,
That's what they always say."
"Whatsoever a man sows, he shall also reap."
The day this poem was written I later was in the home of a woman who had been in a very abusive, controlling relationship several years earlier. She said she remembered those few times that we were able to talk. I remembered, too.
A "vision quest" that began in April with Our Secret Shame ended.
Evil prevailed when Jesus lived. Corruption, abuse of power, arrogance. Jesus did not change the "system" of His day. He did however change the lives of those who heard His words and took them to heart. It still happens today.
Jesus did not organize a movement, He did initiate relationships. A woman at a well, a Gadarene demoniac, Saul of Tarsus. A conversation at a well resulted in a city hearing Jesus. A man beyond hope met Jesus and returned home a changed man. And a man who destroyed families and the lives of the early christians met Jesus and His eyes were opened to the truth of his actions. It still happens today.
May the only blood in my life be the blood of Jesus as I lift someone to Him at the foot of the Cross, mingled with tears and sweat.
.....peace.....
