I have the heart of a poet, the eye of an artist, and dress like a bum. I am no one important. No title, no position, no authority. Just a normal person. But I know Jesus. And Jesus knows me. And this relationship has changed my life and continues to change my life. I have no desire to be known but great desire for others to know Jesus. I would like to blog about Jesus, christian living, church, hurting, hope. I do not want to lead this blog but follow it wherever it leads.

What I See

I look into my mirror saddened by what I see
There's nothing attractive or beautiful about me

How can Jesus love me with all my imperfection
Acceptance is difficult when I'm used to rejection

Every time He touches me a part of me cringes
Knowing I'm not good enough self-pity binges

Jesus walked in as tears flowed down my face
He wiped each one away with hands of grace

"You gave Me your heart will you give me your eyes
Look at Me and I will answer all your whys"

In total surrender I gaze into His eyes
I saw anguish, torment, confusion and lies

The pain was unbearable I had to turn away
He held me from behind, "Listen to what I say"

"For too long you have seen yourself thru eyes of sin
You are healed now it will never happen again"

I looked into my mirror surprised by what I saw
A beautiful face, no blemishes, scars, or flaw

"Thank-you Lord, finally a miracle I can see
"No miracle, My love, you just see what I see"
