The Republican Political Machine: Trickle Down Fascism?

A tale of two governors. Democrat Don Siegelman: Jailed by Bush II appointed judges/prosecutors for improving education in Alabama and reclaiming the state's governorship for the opposition? Republican H. Guy Hunt: Sentenced to probation/fines/eventually pardoned by a fellow Republican for stealing $200,000 of our money? Welcome to your police state.
Hello, everyone. I'm sorry I haven't been very active on this blog. I hope to start writing some this month. Anyway, while reading the news about the tragedies in Alabama, I found myself learning about a story that the "liberal" media must not have covered very well, as I have never heard much about it.

Here's a piece 60 minutes ran:

http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=3...

I encourage everyone to watch all of this video. It only takes about 13 minutes. I believe it does a good job explaining a lot of the practices of the Bush administration and the G.O.P. as a whole. Perhaps it will make you reconsider supporting such an amoral political party in the future.

Regardless, it appears that as usual, the only thing trickling down from the Republicans is injustice.

"During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act."

-George Orwell

p.s. I hope you all enjoyed the royal wedding...it cost an estimated 16 to 64 million dollars...so you better have.

Sorry goat lady! I'll try not to be so repetitive. You are correct, repetition is useful in making speeches, such as preaching or teaching and may be counter productive when writing. However, I'm not the only one who repeats. I don't think I am anyway.

Swift, you remind me of some of my elementary teacher friends, bless their hearts! I work with them now on various committees. They're good people--I have no doubt of that--but they absolutely wear the rest of us out, because of their tendency to REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT! They're so used to having to repeat things to their students (especially the special needs ones) that they've made this technique a part of their daily life. They can easily stretch a one-hour meeting out into two. I'm seriously considering quitting some committees because of them.

I know you think restatement is a good practice, and it may BE--for speech-making purposes (since audiences forget so much)--but for written purposes, repetition is counter-productive.

The plutocrats, folks with lots of money based influence, are bi-partisan. Politicians will do anything to get elected and reelected. They will do anything to keep their political party in power. Both parties depend on money for their survival. Very enlightening video. The plutocrats need to be exposed, arrested, and punished. We need a government that is run by statesmen instead of wealthy crooks. Again, both parties have their crooks.

"Romans 13 gives government the authority to "minister to thee for good" unless it demands you to "obey man rather than God" (Acts 5:29)

"For the love of money is the root of all evil." (I Timothy 6:10)

Pretty sickening video if you ask me. Nothing involving Rove or Cheney shocks me anymore. They are the ones who should be in prison.

What do you think of my blog entry, "21st Century Prohibitionism"?

Well, Actually! Where have you been?

Good topic! Both major parties are run by and financed by Plutocrats. The Democratic Plutocrats want to control us politically. The Republican Plutocrats want to control us economically, hence the "trickle down fascism' vs the "trickle down socialism". What we need is a populist/progressive/Christian party.

I recieved this by email today, Actually. What do you think of this?

This was sent to all Prohibition Party members in reply to an email by a Mrs. Griffin:

Mrs.Griffin:

It is good to see you're back on line. Whether you believe it or not, we've missed you - even if we don't always agree with you.

You know if you really understood a National Banking System - replacing the debt-ridden and interest-gouging Federal Reserve System - and saw how it would actually work, you'd find that then there would be no need for private insurance companies - except for the foolish who want to invest (gamble) in them.

I don't know who you mean by "deceivers" (unless you're talking about the private insurance companies), but if you are, then NO, under a National Banking System, there would be no bail out from FEMA for them. Congress, coining money as the Constitution provides and allows, would provide all the interest-free and non-debt compiling currency necessary to get people back on their feet, homes put back together, schools rebuilt, hospitals functioning again, and the economy back to 100% production in no time.

When all is back together, there is no debt - because Congress coined all the money needed - not borrowed it.

I still can't understand why you (and some others) can't understand this and not support it?

"Romans 13 gives government the authority to "minister to thee for good" unless it demands you to "obey man rather than God" (Acts 5:29)

"For the love of money is the root of all evil." (I Timothy 6:10)

"The Democratic Party desires to control us POLITICALLY"

"The Republican Party desires to control us ECONOMICALLY"

I would also add to this, get rid of the system of usury.
