and the ESPY goes to............

There are great moments in sports, and then there are movies about the greatest moments in sports.

True sports fans are not the only people who can appreciate Hollywood's efforts to put sports greatness in the archives forever for future generations to enjoy.

One of my favorite movies is 'Rudy'. So much sacrifice and dedication to Notre Dame pays off!

Do you have a favorite sports movie?

For the "based on true events" catagory, I would have to go with Hoosiers. On the comedy side I would say Caddyshack.

Sweet choices! I love Caddyshack for a good laugh.

I have to go with "Remember the Titans." I used to watch that movie every night before bed. I cried...but I am a chick lol. The commitment and love and sacrifice...couldn't get any better than that.

Bobby Greer's response:
Good movie....... Have you seen the new weekly documentary on Fox Sports Network? Last night I watched a good story on the 1951 San Francisco Dons football team. They went undefeatedat 9-0 and should have been invited to a big bowl game but were shunned because they had two African-Americans on the team. When the truth got out, the team was given an ultimatum that they could play in a big bowl game IF they left there two black players at home. After a team meeting, they decided if they could not play with the entire team, they would not play at all. Great team..... 3 NFL Hall-of-Famers, Pete Rozelle and a bond that would last a lifetime. After 1951, the Dons did away with their football program due to "lack of funds" which surely would not have been an issue had they played in a bowl game. However the entire team had a clear conscience, knowing that they did the right thing. Great true story!

Dancing...Footloose

Basketball....White Shadow

Football...Waterboy
