Wow, this was rather upsetting. To lose in the post season is bad enough, but to be swept.....wow.

Adam Wainwright pitched his you-know-what off yesterday, and this is how he is rewarded?? Incredible. The Cards can pack up for the winter, this post season run is over. We have been the victim of a lackluster offense and a weak bullpen. Unfortunately, a team needs to be firing on all cylinders in October to have a shot, the Cards have had their weaknesses exposed now. Waino should have won 20 this year, only to have that taken away by our pen, too. The Yankees (the Evil Empire) will win it all this year.

Ok the realist in me is now back peddling on my prediction. The cardinal fan in me is still seeing hope.

After game 2 we all need to rethink our predictions chuckd!

Las Vegas oddsmakers had predicted a Cardinal/Yankee World Series.....what do you think now?

Okay, after last night's game I might have to rethink my predictions. That was definetely a clunker, and not worthy of my bleary-eyed work status today after the 12:30 a.m. ending. Oh, how I yearn for the good old days of Whitey ball. I guess this team has never even heard of trying to manufacture a run or 2. If Herzog was managing this team that had natural speedsters like Shumaker, Ryan, Rasmus, DeRosa, etc., he would have had then running all over the place like a track team of jackrabbits instead of getting them on only to wait for the 3 run homer that never came. That's how you end up stranding 14 runners in the game. And Albert Pujols, he has great numbers overall, and is an essential part of this team, but he isn't exactly the second coming of Reggie Jackson in the postseason. Let's hope Wainwright pitches a shutout today, with our lethargic offense, this is our only hope of coming home with a split.

I like the way you guys think!!!

The Cardinals have to find their hitting stroke again, or I see us losing a couple of 1-0 or 2-1 games even with our 2 best starters going. I am an optimist, however, so I am picking the Cards in 4. The hated Yankees will win the American League pennant, the Cards will top the Phillies in 6 and beat the Yanks in 7.

Well on the NL side I like the Phillies, they won the whole show last year and I think they can take out the Rockies. Of course I am pulling for the Cards to top the Dodgers.

On the AL side I think the Yanks will take it, no offense to the Twins, but I think the Yankees have their number. Now Boston and Anaheim is a tough one, I consider that one to be a toss up.

I think for the World Series I am gonna say oh Cards vs Angles with the Cards taking it all.
