With all of the snow on the ground and more to come, I am sooooo ready to play some golf.
I know with patience the day will soon be here but it seems soooooo far away! When warmer weather does finally bring golf, I intend to play several courses this year. What are your favorite courses? Any funny golf stories to tell? Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Locally it is hands down that Dalhousie in Cape is top course around and the favorite.
Around the state of Missouri these are my top 10 favorites:
1) Porta Cima--Sunrise Beach
2) Branson Creek--Hollister
3) Bellerive CC--St louis
4) Dalhousie--Cape
5) Country Club of St. Albans
6) Old Kinderhook--Cambdenton
7) Old Warson--St Louis
8) Payne Stewart Golf Club--Branson
9) Highland Springs--Springfield
10)Boone Valley--Augusta
Nationally my favorite is Lake Nona in Orlando. Got to spend a lot of time there and at Isleworth...they are sister courses. Isleworth underwent a re-construction a few years ago and it is awesome now. I was lucky enough to play many great courses in Florida over the years--Seminole, The Floridian, Medalist Golf Club, The Bear's Club, Jupiter Hills, Jonathan's Landing, Loblolly Pines, Doral and many more.
Augusta GC is ranked #1 for the first time in many years. Pine Valley has always been #1. The Midwest has some fabulous golf courses. If you go to Gatlinburg, TN...Gatlinburg GC is a very nice course. A little known fact, but Illinois actually has about 7-8 courses in the top 50 in the country. Branson has some great golf courses. John Daly's Murder Rock is a neat course as well.
Enjoy!
