Celebrity skanks back in the news...Posted Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 10:01 AM
Ok. Now I know that the pressure on a celebrity is probably something that I will never understand. Being constantly hounded by paparazzi and bashed us us crazy media nuts has to get old.
But... Does that give these pretentious Hollywood rich kids the right to stomp around and do whatever they want? Last night, Lindsay Lohan was arrested again and charged with D.U.I. and possession of cocaine. Some people never learn. Somewhere in the last 45 days, Lohan got smashed, had a wreck, went to jail and then rehab (again!). It seems she's come full circle once again. I don't mean to pick on Lindsay alone either. Look at Britney, Paris and all of the others. These people don't live by the same laws you and I do. If I was picked up for possession of coke after a car wreck I'd be upstate in a heartbeat. Where's the consistency here? Is looking good really worth that much? Or do these judges and law enforcement officials just get all giddy when they see them and lose all of their backbone? Don't get me wrong...I'm not blind. Sure they're nice to look at, but that's as far as it goes. Eventually someone is going to have to make an example of these girls or they're all going to drop into heroin induced comas. I think they need to read up on Courtney Love a bit. That's certainly where they're headed. Comments Showing comments in chronological order [Show most recent comments first] |

Corey, how do I email you personally? I need to tell you something.
Ok, done. Thanks
Do you ever read the police reports?People are often on their third DWI before their 30!
The police are trying to keep us safe, but softheaded judges allow too much plea bargaining, so as not to overcrowd jails or tie up the courts precious time. Bless the judge who finally locked Paris Hilton up-she got more time than many of our local offenders do,but it wasn't for her DWI but her driving without a license.
We need more social punishment and bring back the chain gang for all offenders. I'd pay more taxes for a little Cool Hand Luke so our MoDot could be freed up to do actual highway repairs.
It wouldn't be so cool to drive drunk if you had to do real work in the hot sun and then make them wear vests proclaiming Drunk Driver!
I'd pay for that program!
Mark my words, it won't be long before we start seeing these young girls dropping dead like flies. The day is coming soon.
Well, I agree that Paris didn't learn anything from her 21 days in jail. Lindsay sure didn't learn anything from her 45 day stint in rehab. I think it's disgusting that they are all allowed to do whatever they want while anyone else would be sitting in jail. Why the double standard? They are just people.
Also, I have to admit that I am really tired of hearing about it on the news. I think the media would do us all a great justice by not running the stories. Think about it. If they didn't follow Britney Spears around watching her act a fool 24-7 people would start to forget who she was. She's not done anything but act a fool for at least a year! I think the media should stop giving them publicity.
BTW- Love the title. LOL
