The irony of the whackos
I realize we have discussed the environment before, but I came across a story that should give everyone a good kick.
The Center for Environmental Health is threatening a lawsuit against Apple over "dangerous" chemicals found in the iPhone.
Apparently, these are chemicals used to increase the flexibility of plastic.
To begin with, these are rather common chemicals used in many other plastic devices around the house. Do they really think that telling people plastic is harmful will make them throw away their iPhones? Have you thrown away your cigarettes yet? We've known they were bad for years.
Here's where the irony kicks in. Take a qild-guess who serves on Apple's Board of Directors?
None other than the recent Nobel Peace Prize winner for his environmental work, Al Gore.
The one thing I will say in his defense is that I really think this is a stupid allegation in the first place, but it's still pretty funny.

I've played with one of these bad boys and it's at the very least going to be revolutionary for the cell phone industry. I would even venture to say that in five more years, phones like that will be all you can find in the stores.
