The irony of the whackos

I realize we have discussed the environment before, but I came across a story that should give everyone a good kick.
The Center for Environmental Health is threatening a lawsuit against Apple over "dangerous" chemicals found in the iPhone. Apparently, these are chemicals used to increase the flexibility of plastic. To begin with, these are rather common chemicals used in many other plastic devices around the house. Do they really think that telling people plastic is harmful will make them throw away their iPhones? Have you thrown away your cigarettes yet? We've known they were bad for years. Here's where the irony kicks in. Take a qild-guess who serves on Apple's Board of Directors? None other than the recent Nobel Peace Prize winner for his environmental work, Al Gore. The one thing I will say in his defense is that I really think this is a stupid allegation in the first place, but it's still pretty funny. 9/10 would sacrifice health for the latest gadget fashion anyways. The hip technology will win anyday!
yeah well if its bad for your health i know we are supposed too stay on topic but have you heard of the one about dangerous amounts of lead found in the red lipsticks its only certain brands were recalled.I was blowed away and i was also greatful that im a simple southern missouri girl and i don't even wear makeup lol..See there is one good thing about not painting the barn,,,HA HA i thought it was funny........
Does it really matter what's bad for our health? Or does anyone even know anymore whats bad for our health? They have found SOOO many things to be bad for our health in recent years that it's hard to decide whether they are just yankin our chain or not. A bunch of this stuff has been a part of our culture and society since before some of us were born. And all them baby boomers are still alive and kickin! Cars are bad for the environment b/c of global warming and what not...but do you think cows and horses are good for the environment w/ all the methane gas they produce??? But you can guarantee we won't try to put smog control on them babies, lol. Sorry, but it's true. I don't think any of us truly know whats good for anything anymore. All this media coverage of recent scientific studies just confuses us more. It doesn't matter what we say or do...our environment will perish sooner or later. If we don't figure out soon what exactly it is that is bad for it, and what is good, it will be sooner than later. But just b/c we figure out bad from good doesn't mean we will live our lives ridding ourselves of all the "cool" bad things...I guess it's true what they say...we are our own worst enemies...
Yeah, it's amazing what is told to us and what is kept a secret...lol. For instance: mercury {Ethylmercury -thimerosal}in immunizations that caused autism, attention deficit disorder, language and speech delays, and a host of other neurodevelopmental problems in children. The number of children getting help in special education classes is growing nationally and state by state at a rate we have never seen before. Did they recall these vccines when this was found to be true...oh no. If vaccine manufactors and government agencies are found liable for neurological damage to millions of infants, TCV litigation could rival that of tobacco or asbestos. They told us about finding mercury in fish (Methylmercury} and mercury found in teeth fillings. Don't eat the fish. Remove/replace the fillings. Did they tell you that a 2 month old, receiving all reccommended vaccines, could be injected with up to 118 times the EPA's limit for daily exposure to mercury? Oh no! Good for us, bad for us, or just plain HERD us into whatever is going to make it work out for those who run {control} our lives these days.
