Kissing cousins or Why I love election seasonPosted Thursday, October 18, 2007, at 9:16 AM
There's just been so much great stuff on the political battlefront in recent weeks that I can't contain myself.
That's the best part about election season. Watching the politicians come out of the woodwork and scrambling to defend every decision they've ever made.
Yesterday's news is a perfect illustration. It appears that in doing some research, Lynne Cheney has found a link between the Cheney's and Barack Obama's family. Apparently the Republican vice-president and Democratic Presidential hopeful are like 8th cousins.
I couldn't have made that up if I tried people.
Jay Leno gave Obama a hard time about the new link last night and he said that any new relationship would "have limits."
Nothing would make me happier than to find out that Hillary's great-grandfather was actually a Bush, but I guess we can't hope to get that lucky.
Wouldn't that make for a fun Christmas dinner?
