DNC Drama...Posted Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at 1:51 PM
I guess I should start out by apologizing for the recent hiatus. I could make excuses all day long, and believe me I have them, but that's not really important. I'm going to do my best to keep up with the blog a little better in the future.
What I'm wondering is how do you guys feel about the Democrat National Convention going on out in Denver?
I've got to say I was fairly impressed by Michelle Obama's speech. I felt like she did a good job of coming across as an average person.
Hillary's speech, on the other hand, seemed almost robotic. But, that's how I've always felt about her. She doesn't come across as even being the slightest bit genuine in what she says.
My gut tells me she's just putting on a front and at home praying Barack loses so she has a chance in 2012.
I suppose the big acceptance speech tomorrow will be quite the production. I saw a picture earlier showing the stage he will speak on and it looks like an ancient Greek temple or something.
The buzz seems to be that McCain will announce his vice-presidential pick Friday morning in an effort to halt coverage and talk about Barack's speech. Politically speaking, that seems like a good strategy.
What are your thoughts?
