NSC website goes live today!Posted Friday, September 25, 2009, at 10:40 AM
In an effort to bring the North Stoddard Countian into the 21st Century, we are proud to announce that this morning a new North Stoddard Countian website was launched.
To visit the site, simply direct your browser to http://www.dailystatesman.com/nsc or click on the link at the right side of the Daily Statesman web page.
The site has almost all of the features offered by the Daily Statesman website and should be a real boost not only for the North Stoddard Countian, but for the community as well.
Links are posted to numerous different community web sites in an effort to put community needs right at the reader's fingertips. Feel free to send in any links not on here that may be useful.
In the immediate future, new blogs will begin to be introduced in addition to other new features.
The site will give us at The North Stoddard Countian to post news more frequently than what is currently possible with a weekly newspaper. For instance, Tuesday morning is when we put the NSC together and it is printed in Kennett in the afternoon. This Tuesday afternoon, a car caught on fire on Depot Rd. in Bloomfield. I was on hand to get photos of the incident, but because of deadlines, it would be 8 days before the photo can be used. This would give us the opportunity to get that information out to the public sooner.
While not all of the information contained in the North Stoddard Countian will be published online, additionally not all online material will make the newspaper.
Anyone with suggestions or tips, feel free to e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope everyone enjoys the new site and sees it as an opportunity to make a useful tool for our communities.
