Iran's "devastating blow"
For the past few weeks I've been reading stories about Iran's preparation to mark the 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution.
On numerous occasions during those past weeks, statements have been made about Iran planning to deal a "devastating blow" to US interests on Feb. 11.
That blow, it appears, is the announcement that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad made this morning stating that Iran is now capable of producing weapons-grade uranium. He went on to state that one of their nuclear facilities has now produced a batch of 20-percent enriched uranium.
Since this only happened in the last bit, I have no idea if US intelligence believes this to be true. Iran is well-known for spilling a line of trash that turn out to be lies. Which I fear his line about how they are not producing weapons may be.
However, if it is true, in my opinion Iran would offer single the largest threat to our country. While we've spent the last few years fighting other nations in the region, I haven to say that Iran has always really given me the creeps.
What do you think? Was he just blowing smoke or do you think it's the truth?
