How much will Fielder get?

I was just reading a short piece on Prince Fielder at mlbtraderumors.com this morning and it got me to thinking. While so far the market seems to be fairly thin for his services, we all know he'll play somewhere next season. The scuttle seems to be that no one is interested at the number of years he's trying to get. His agent, the infamous Scott Boras, is making a hard push and either the interest is thin or they're holding out until mid-January so that they can reach the point where teams get nervous and might be willing to overspend.

Here's my question...How many years and how much cash will Fielder be making when he steps to the plate for the first time in April?

If he waits this long to sign is he headed back to Milwaukee?

Here's my thought...the longer he waits, the better Milwaukee's chances, but I don't know if they will be able to swing it. Given the Ryan Braun situation I think they have to otherwise they are virtually forfeiting the year by not having either of their two sluggers for 50 games. I think they have to make an effort and it appears they have but my guess is that he goes to either the Washington Nationals or Seattle Mariners. Due to the DH, Seattle is a smarter move, but the Nats are going to have a decent team so who knows.

On a completely unrelated note, I saw you at the Bloomfield Christmas Tournament this week. I kept meaning to run down and say hi, but never could get a few minutes. Happy New Year!
