Another week of giveaways
Another Thursday has passed and another free DVD has been shipped out.
Last week's question, in case you don't remember, was "Who received the most career intentional walks in Cardinal history before 2008?"
Quite a few different answers came in over the week and a handful of wrong ones. The correct answer was Ted Simmons (151 in St. Louis -- 188 career). He was passed in 2008 by Albert Pujols (251 in St. Louis -- 253 career). In 2008 he led the NL with 34 IBBs to pass Simmons.
Congratulations to Steven McElwrath of Holcomb who was this week's winner.
Now for the week 4 question.
In what year was the World Series last played in one stadium and who were the teams involved?
The question might be a little more difficult, but the answer is much easier to find. Enter before next Thursday, May 2, 2012 at noon to be eligible.
This week I will be giving away a copy of the A+E Networks Home Entertainment/MLB Productions Blu-Ray/DVD Combo Pack "BASEBALL'S GREATEST GAMES: 2011 WORLD SERIES GAME 6". This commemorative edition includes Game 6 of the 2011 World Series in its entirety. Watch David Freese mark his place in the history books with a performance Cardinals fans will never forget.
