I'm back!

Sorry for the long absence from the blog site. Long story, but no matter now. I'm back!

I hope those of you who read my blog will come to Bloomfield's Fall Festival next weekend, Oct. 5 & 6. I realize expatriot Southeast Missourians log onto this site, and alas will be unable to attend. I know you'll be here in spirit.

I took my Pomeranian, Caesar, to the nursing home's annual pet show last Saturday, and the little guy won a blue ribbon! Best behaved! Who would've thunk it?

I also won several blue ribbons (and one red, but that's okay) at the Stoddard County Fair.

I'll sign off for now. I hope to begin posting more often in the future.

I took my grandaughter and her dog, a collie-Basset hound mix, to the pet show at the nursing home once; and it was fun. Her strange looking dog got a ribbon for best famous dog look-a-like. (Lassie) Not to take away from Caesar, but they seemed to have enough imaginative categories so that everyone was a winner of something. Very thoughtful from a high school group of judges, I thought.

They certainly did! Every pet gets some sort of ribbon. It's fun for the kids and their pets, but especially for the residents, who no longer can have pets of their own.
