What it's all about

I recently attended the Small Wonders Daycare's Christmas program, and it was a true pleasure, especially because my great-niece, Kaycee Wamble, took part. This was her first time to participate in an organized Christmas program, and she didn't fail to delight. Of course, all the kids did a great job, which is a testament to their teachers. For preschoolers, they were very, very good. Not that I'm prejudiced or anything … I learned about the program a few hours beforehand, and didn't get a chance to go with my sister (Kaycee's maternal grandmother) and her family. I slipped inside the crowded sanctuary and, as any good photographer would do, I went to the north wall and made my way to the front. Just three rows from the front, I found Tracy Tippen. A Bloomfield area resident with three beautiful daughters, Tracy's youngest, Isabelle, was also participating. She happened to have an empty seat beside her, so we got to enjoy the program together. The kids were just too cute. They sang with enthusiasm, signing the songs as they went along. Course, they weren't exactly on pitch, and the movements were a tad too fast or too slow, but the effort was what counted to me. The program was called "The ABCs of Christmas." Kaycee had a speaking part; she did the letter "V" -- "V is for virgin." I got a great shot of Kaycee speaking her part, and I'm sharing it with you. I hope everyone has a blessèd holiday season. Oh, by the way, I learned someone actually read my blog about fruitcake and made the recipe! The lady thanked me for posting it! Wow! Now I just have to make it myself. |
