This beautiful cloud formation was captured over Dexter last night by Nona Pritchard Robinson, who posted it on Facebook. These are unusual, pouch-like cloud formations, which she labeled "mammatus" clouds. Wikipedia soon confirmed this information. Hooray, Nona for treating us to this marvel of nature!

Good photo! We had never seen those kind of clouds, so my wife and I both took pictures on our cell phones. They looked like giant marshmallows to me. Thanks for tellings us what kind of cloud formation this was.

Very cool photo, Nona! What kind of camera do you have? I don't know if mine could have done this.
