Good Intentions
This blog site is for women only, at least until such time that a male might have something worthwhile to contribute to the subject at hand, which is deemed highly unlikely at this point. The site is intended to provide an open line of communication between women whose shared experiences through the menopausal or post-menopausal years might enlighten those who have been there as well, or those who are immediately headed in that direction. It is intended to bring forth the lighter side of process called aging and to celebrate it as we "mature" into this next phase of life.
A thought to share comes to mind and I'm wondering if anyone else out there has experienced this phenomenon I've come to refer to as "good intentions lost." I awake to a day put aside to clean house. I'll begin with the bathrooms. I take the towels and wash cloths to the laundry room…might as well start a load with them, but there's not enough to make a full load, so I gather up the kitchen ones as well. Whoa, that kitchen sink sure needs a good cleaning. It'll just take a minute. When was the last time I gave the drain a good dose of baking soda. Might as well do it now. I'll just use the box in the fridge…it's been there awhile. That glass shelf in the refrigerator is a mess. Better clean it now. That jelly jar's been in there for six months and I don't remember what year I bought that jar of jalapeno peppers, but I think I can read the year 19--something and this is the 21st century. Better pitch 'em. Well now, that trash is pretty full… better take it out. In the garage, I notice that the floor is a mess from various plant clippings, etc. Better give it a good sweeping. The broom in the garage is right next to the hoe, which reminds me, I really need to weed that flower bed in the front…and so on and so on. At 10 p.m., I've worked in every room in the house and none of them are clean, but there's always next weekend. Anybody identify??

We won't want to turn this site into a man-bashing machine, but a little knockin' 'em around never hurt 'em.
A question I know is on all our minds. Do you eventually devour those little bearded faced goats? I recall that at the annual Puxico Homecomeing (not too many miles from Avert), they serve goatburgers and just wondering if you might be their supplier. Fess up!
Can't say that your second image was much more inviting than the first! Glad to hear, though, that your little bearded friends are not fodder for Puxitonians. Must admit, I tried one once over there and as I recall, it didn't taste like chicken. More like really strong beef. I didn't seem to suffer or have any ill-effects, except of course for that nasty little habiit I acquired of devouring all my houseplants. The only relief I got was when I was really full, I could stretch out and moan, "Baaaaaaaaaaaa." Or maybe that was after the lamb chops...
What exactly is veganism..anything like Paganism?? I can think of a lot of isms that sound like more fun than vegan"ism." Does it, perchance, consist of veggies, and "an"imals and "isms?" If so, why don't they call it,"vegananimisims?" Just a thought. A fleeting one, as most of mine are.
I had a lengthy response for you and somehow lost it in the translation, but basically said this...honey is a good thing, for sure, as are products from "Bert's Bees," in case you haven't been a party to them. They all derive, apparently, from the the product or bi-products of beeswax, so you be the judge.
Anwyay, I expounded on the veganite theory of eating anything with a face (as reflected upon earlier) and what of the garden grown veggies that vegetate and take on the appearance of the face of the Christ Child or the Virgin Mary or, even worse, Mickey Rooney or Phyllis Diller?? Is a Vegan to devour these faced veggies? Are they an exception to the rule of veganites? Oh, thoughts to ponder and food for thought, quite literally.
PS Phyllis is 90 and going strong(ly).
