Minnie, dear, you are BRILLIANT!!

We write our own 50's memories, RIGHT??

Wonderful idea!!!

When I was first driving, my mom and dad took out a 56 Chevie (two tone yellow and bronze) to drive on approval. It was an automatic transmission - the first I ever drove. I backed it out of the driveway, right into a poplar tree, and they had to buy it! It was the best car they ever had, and they never let me drive it again!!!

How are we doing???

Actually, I just couldn't remember any.

However, I feel some "Remember Whens" coming on. So, will post just a bit later this morning. Must go earn my keep for a bit so that I can afford that new full slip and fishnets I'm needing this weekend.

I awoke from a dead sleep feeling that our favorite Blogist needed us and there it was - THE WORD!!! I too will meet you at 7:52 and shall wear my red rose!!! I must ready my sign!!!

I'm not worthy..I'm not worthy (I'm bowing for the whole picture)..on second thought, yes I am, so I'll be there as well. I'll be the one with the madrass skort and beanie, ratted bluish hair with curly bangs and a flip. If the concrete's not too hot, I'll wear my leather foot straps with the gold rings.

I would think that any memories (if I had some) might DATE me? I will continue to read and enjoy.

You'll pardon us, then, if we treat you with a slight bit of trepidation, since you are gender-neutral at this stage...

Don't get me wrong: We do allow a few men into our secret society, but (other than Corey, who just blunders right into the middle of things) they keep a pretty low profile, so as not to alarm us and cause a general stampede....(during which you would undoubtedly be trampled under foot like a pancake...)

Don't you undo your ratted hair for the sake of peer pressure. Besides, it looks nice with your go-go boots and rhinestone studded glasses.

Better fess up with the gender D.W.B.. Right now you are just gender neutral. Things could get ugly. Mother nature has a strong presence in Minnies Blog. You shouldn't mess with mother nature you know. One of them even bakes a cake thats to die for and that the truth.

Perhaps D.W.B. stands for Done With Blondes, in which case he's a male. Ah, but it could mean Do Women Belong? in which case, she would. OR, it might represent Dogs Without Bones, in which case he/she could be either gender...or how about Dating Whimsical Bloggers..hmmmm, that could be tricky. OK, then...Dressed Without Bra? Nah..she's not that independent even if he/she is a she. OK, then perhaps Driving Women Bananas (hmm, a very confident he), or Drinking Watered-down Beer..definitely of the male species. Devilish Wonder Boy? Deviant Wild Britain...will be ever know? In the meantime, we'll allow him/her, just by virtue of being mysterious.

Well, now, Minnie, this is exactly why you are our leader! As one of your poor peasant followers, I am in awe of your powers of deduction!

If D.W.B. stands for "Dating Whimsical Bloggers," we need to set up some dinner dates, toot sweet! (Mmm...wonder where that errant little phrase came from?)

Alas, Cake is alive and well GL, after having spent considerable time ratting her new hairdo. IMHO it is most attractive. But, back to the subject at hand...after searching frantically for the technobabble dictionary, I have updated my vocabulary and feel ready to converse (RTC). I have my signs at the ready for the next public demonstration of support (PDS) for our fearless leader and anticipate the gender revelation of DWB/HO!

Ladies - listen up! Just glanced through this blog to catch up and WOW! It hit me! Our illustrious leader "OIL" is speaking to us!!! Ever notice how she frequently speaks about ointments...beer...even oatmeal?...It seems like a subliminal attempt to recruit public support for the new Minnie Mart!!!! Yes! That's it! Contractual obligations probably prohibit her from actively recruiting us, but WE KNOW!!! Just read it over - skorts, beanies, skirts, gold rings...go-go boots, glasses, bras, beer and oatmeal! Minnie NEEDS US! Ladies, start your engines - we can bake another day!!!

How we've missed your wisdom and insight. How else would be possibly have known of the subliminals? (is that a derivative of "sublime?")

I also was afraid that you may have licked the batter one too many times.

And now there is nothing but relief in knowing that the next time I find myself in immediate need of a cold beer and/or a warm bra (or girdle)...Minnie's Mart will be right at my disposal...or is it IN the disposal. Whatever.

Yes, Cake lady, I believe you have uncovered our Glorious Leader's hidden signals!! It is all crystal clear, now!! The new Minnie Mart is on the horizon! I can hardly wait to get my lime green go go boots!! Do you think it would be tacky to wear them with a chapel veil? Yes, well...a bit sacrireligious, perhaps...

Fear not, GL, it certainly would be acceptable to wear your lime green go go boots with your chapel veil. Why, Cake's scriptures, chapter WD, verse 40 state clearly, that all with pure hearts and wrinkle-free complexions are welcome, regardless of their attire.

I just had a THOUGHT, girls! Is it possible that our glorious leader, "Minnie the O" is going to slip over to her new Minnie Mart after she rolls around on the beach until she's toasted to a golden brown??

Two birds with one stone...

Oh, Minnie is so dedicated to our well-being...I wouldn't put it past her!

What do you think she'll bring us back from the beach?? Maybe something tall, dark, and handsome?
