I would have to give this movie 3 1/2 stars out of five. Not a bad movie at all, great date movie. My wife and I went and watched it over the weekend. I can say that at 1 hour and 45 minutes for a Romatic movie it didn't at all seem like it. Really well paced, and the acting of Aaron Eckhart and Catherine Zeta-Jones and the young Abigail Breslin were outstanding, could have been a little more dramatic, but that is just my taste. Aaron Eckhart's character (I think) was modeled a lot after Mario Batoli, even down to his orange shoes (Crogs?). If you are a "Foodie" you will love this movie. Nothing unpredictable about it, I knew the end from the time the hint is dropped halfway through, but never-the-less it was very entertaining. Again a great date movie.
I saw this movie with two other "chicks" today, and we LOVED IT!! I must buy it on DVD when it comes out, to add to my "Feel Good" collection. I didn't know if I'd like the food theme (not being nuts about cooking), but it added quite a sensual touch -- and I'm all about that! Two of us sat and predicted what was gonna happen, but that's okay. Loved it anyway! Yeah, guys, take your dates to this one. You won't be sorry! Language was even clean! The little girl is wonderful! Catherine Zeta Jones is always great - and the guy grew on me, after I got over his rough look...
