I'd like to pray for my nephew, Timothy, who is just 18 years old and just graduated from high school. Tomorrow morning he goes in for surgery for thyroid cancer. After that they start chemo. Please pray that God holds Tim in His hands and bring him through this time. Also, I'd like to pray for his mom and dad to stay strong in the Lord and for God to give them the strength they'll need to make it through.
God is good. Timothy came through the surgery just fine. It will be another week or so before we find out whether the cancer spread further. Thank you, Lord, for all you've done and for all you will do. I know that they'll find no more cancer.
I would like to add a prayer of healing for Mrs. Joyce Parris. The Parris family of Harold, Joyce, Harold Jr., Mitchell, and Josh lived in the Dexter area for over 30 years. Mrs. P has cancer and is undergoing treatement. A faithful and loving Christian, she has accepted God's will in her life. We are praying for His healing touch in her life. Mr. and Mrs. P cared for a number of us who gathered with their sons at the Parris home in the '70's and '80s. If you remember the family, please add her to your prayers.
