Well, dear readers, the weekend is upon us and it's looking like the weather will be okay, if not great.

I'm curious as to what people locally are thinking of the race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Who do you think the ultimate victor will be? I'm not entirely sure, but I'm leaning toward Obama.

What is your opinion? Who are you rooting for and why?

Come on citizens...What is the government's reason for being...?

The Preamble (We the people...) explains the purposes of the Constitution, and defines the powers of the government as originating from the people of the United States.

The Declaration of Independence recognizes that the only legitimate purpose of the government is to secure the rights of its individual citizens...

Constitutionally defined assignments of powers within our federal system of government suggests our nation has strayed far from honoring the complementary roles that were set out for serving the legimate purpose of government.

What role should the U.S. government play in the lives of citizens?

I/It - questions/question

Do these questions make me nervous or what is the matter with my typing or wording skills? Please don't try to answer. (Still more than curious)

I would be nice if I could proof read correctly. Sorry, I meant to spell the word citizens in the first questions.

I just needed to ask a couple of questions. What role does any of you think that the U.S. government should play in the lives of citizes? What is it's primary duty? What is it's reason for being? Please be specific.

(More than curious)

I think Obama has the upper hand or most likely will win the Democratic nomination.

I personally do not care to vote for any of the three leaders, but I will.

It seems to me that Hillary and Barack are promising streets paved with gold and someone has to pay for that and I am afraid that McCain may explode at any minute.

The lesser of bad, what kind of election is that?

Terrorist versus Terrorist. Both committed to intimidate a population or government into granting their demands. Coercion comes to mind. Appalling persons who bring with them frightening aspects.

i am not making an educated and informed decree of who i believe the best and most qualified candidate is but i have formed an opinion. i see in hillary a more experienced politican but obamas inexperience may bring a fresh perspective to a jaded "been there done that" government. hillary shows emotion which makes her believeable and obama seems to come across as too composed. so for me the bottom line is that i would like our president to be passionate about her job and not afraid to show she is human.
