First Midwest officially opens on One Mile and Business 60

March 23, 2012
The planning for First Midwest Bank's new facility at the corner of Business 60 and One Mile Road began about three years ago and culminated with the official Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting ceremony Friday morning. The new location will serve as the bank's main facility in Dexter. Bank Executive Vice President Jack Huffman noted at the ceremony, "First Midwest made a commitment to provide the area with the best financial services we can. That commitment has never changed, and to continue to provide those services, we needed to build this bank." Citing the current national economic situation, Huffman added, "We have confidence in our economy and more importantly, in our friends and customers in the Dexter area. We are proud to call this our home." The ceremonial ribbon was substituted with a "ribbon of dollars" for Friday's event. Key figures on hand for the ceremony included, from left front, Chamber Executive Director Janet Coleman, Sikeston Assistant Cashier Kathy Ray, Betty Huffman and Bank President Jack Huffman, Marketing Director Jana McLane Brown, Board Member Roger Baldwin, Mayor Joe Weber, Vice President Cashier Lee Ann Gilmore, Sikeston Director Steve Millington, President and CEO Joey McLane, Director Charles Chilcutt, Director Bob Coffey, Director John Carter, Director Larry Johnson, Vice President Kim Sifford, Executive Secretary Deb Pope, VP Human Resources Becky Eskew, Chamber President Kenny Pope and Chamber Director Mendy Bell. A new ATM on the west side of the bank is easily accessible from One Mile Road. Customers have a choice full banking, including lock boxes, loan servicing, investment services, account openings and CDs with new extended hours.
