(11/05/09)POTOSI - Potosi's Brandon Bourbon only got seven carries against Dexter in their Class 3 regional playoff game, but that was all the talented running back needed to jump start the Trojans Wednesday night at home. Bourbon turned his seven touches into 252 yards and three touchdown, all in the first half, as Potosi dominated Dexter in a 56-20 win... 
Lady 'Cats looking to run down a state title

(10/28/09) After a humbling 0-4 start to the season, its hard to imagine that the Dexter Bearcats are one win away from moving on in the MSHSAA Class 3 playoffs. Dexter will be on the road against Kennett Thursday night and a win would give the Bearcats a 5-5 season, a 2-1 district record and the runner-up spot in District 1. Of course if Perryville were to upset New Madrid County Central by 13 points, the playoff picture gets more complicated...

(10/22/09) The plot thickens in the race to make the MSHSAA playoffs this Friday when the Dexter Bearcats host the Perryville Pirates. Kickoff for the Class 3, District 1 game at Charles Bland Stadium in Dexter is set for 7 o'clock. New Madrid County Central (5-3, 1-0) is still the team to beat in District 1 and the Eagles should lock up a spot when they tangle with Kennett (3-5, 0-1) this week. But with two teams advancing from each district, the race for the second spot could get dicey...
