Edward G. Koppman, the son of the late Louis and Lura Rollman Koppman, was born in St. Louis on July 18, 1928, and died at the Puxico Nursing Center on Saturday, April 26, 2003, at the age of 74. Mr. Koppman had lived in St. Louis until moving to the Puxico and Wappapello areas in the 1980's. He was retired from General Motors in St. Louis where he had worked as a painter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Puxico and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was first married to Clairce Hancock, and she preceded him in death. On July 18, 1995, he was married to Lorraine Chaney Zoll in St. Louis. Surviving are his wife Lorraine Koppman of Wappapello; one step-son, Jerry Hancock of Illinois; one step-daughter, Marva Wheat of St. Louis; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry "Pete" Koppman of Puxico. Visitation was held after 6 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Puxico with the Rev. Marshall Link and Buzz Brown, both of Puxico, officiating. Interment followed in the Puxico Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of arrangements.
