Alveta Aycock

Alveta Murphy Aycock, daughter of Lorell Crabtree Murphy of Dexter and the late Ralph Murphy, was born April 16, 1934, at Bernie and died at her residence in Dexter on April 20, 2003, at the age of 69. Mrs. Aycock was retired from Dexter Memorial Hospital where she was employed in the business office. She was united in marriage to James F. Aycock on May 23, 1953, at Parma. Mr. Aycock preceded her in death on August 9, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Joy Aycock of Memphis; her mother, Lorell Murphy of Dexter; three brothers, Quincy Murphy of Dexter, Gary Murphy and Berry Murphy, both of Bernie; two sisters, Arvella Palmer of Poplar Bluff and Linda Garner of Sikeston. Visitation will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside service will be conducted at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter with Kevin Chenowith officiating. Memorials may be made to the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
