James Earl Lenderman, age 92, of Matthews, formerly of Circle City, died on Sunday, April 20, 2003, at 11:50 a.m. He was born on May 14, 1910, in Delaplaine, Ark., to the late Levi and Mattie Williams Lenderman. He was of the General Baptist faith and had been a farm worker for many years with the Herman Smith Farms. On Oct. 16, 1937, he married Trudie Ann McClain in Blytheville, Ark., and she survives of the home. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Larry Lenderman of Sikeston and Harold Lenderman of Morehouse; one daughter, Pat Greer of Morehouse; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Lorn Lenderman; one daughter, Patricia Lenderman; two brothers; and two sisters. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2003, in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel with Rev. H. Worth of Essex officiating. Interment will follow in Bloomfield Cemetery.
