Mary Merideth

Mary Lou Merideth, the daughter of the late Robert and Audra Parks Bostic, was born in Fisk on Dec. 27, 1931, and died at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Poplar Bluff on Feb. 1, 2003, at the age of 71. Mrs. Merideth had lived in Illinois for 42 years before moving back to Fisk in 1994. She was a member of the First Church of God in Fisk. On March 4, 1950, she was married to Dallas L. Merideth, Sr., in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 25, 1997. Surviving are three sons, Dallas Merideth, Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Eric Merideth of Qulin, and Kenneth Merideth of E. Carondolet, Ill.; three daughters, Susan Moore of Puxico, Janet Bieber of Columbia, Ill., and Bonnie Satterfield of Fisk; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Bostic of Mt. View, and Gary Bostic of Piggott, Ark.; and one sister, Janice Chronister of Poplar Bluff. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. David Tremaine of Poplar Bluff officiating. Interment followed in the Ash Hill Cemetery near Fisk with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
