Arwilla Dodd

Arwilla Dodd, of Dexter and formerly of Malden, was born Aug. 12, 1911, the daughter of James Randle Lacy and Lula Bell McElyea Lacy, and died Monday, Feb. 3, 2003, at Cypress Point Healthcare in Dexter. She was married to James Orville Dodd on Dec. 8, 1929, in St. Louis, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 31, 1954. Mrs. Dodd was a homemaker and clerk for Luttrell's IGA formerly located in Malden. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Malden. Survivors include one sister, Eleanor Underwood of Piggott, Ark.; and one grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, James Lacy Dodd; and one sister. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Dexter Cemetery with Dr. Bill Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Dexter Cemetery.
