James R. Pflasterer, 51, of Bloomfield, was born April 18, 1951, in Red Bud, Ill., the son of the late Genevieve Pflasterer, and died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter. Mr. Pflasterer was a retired construction worker. He was of the Baptist faith. On Sept. 3, 1978, at Tilden, he was united in marriage to Linda Hargis, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include one son, Charles Pflasterer of Bloomfield; one daughter, Susan Goodwin of Dexter; one step-daughter, Robin Boswell of Puxico; one brother, Bruce Pflasterer of Tilden, Ill.; five sisters, Joyce Prest of Chester, Ill., Shirley Shaw, Beverly Clothammer, Carolyn Smith and Jeannie Ballheimier, all of Tilden, Ill.; and three grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death. Visitation was held from 5:30-8:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance with Bro. John Tolbert officiating. Interment followed in the Oak Ridge Cemetery near Advance.
