Helen Maxine O'Heren, daughter of the late Roy Bickford Woods, Sr., and Elsie Dora Slayton Woods, was born on April 6, 1913, in Bernie, Missouri, and went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2003, in the Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 89. She was united in marriage to William Moy O'Heren on February 17, 1932, at Piggott, Arkansas. Mr. O'Heren preceded her in death on December 17, 1970. Survivors include her daughter, Helen Jeanette Blevins and her husband, Jay Blevins of Little Rock, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Michael Jay Blevins and his wife Kathy Blevins of Fort Smith, Arkansas, William Bruce Blevins of Maumelle, Arkansas, and Joni Lynn Terry and her husband, Thomas Gifford Terry of Maumelle, Arkansas; four great-grandsons, Christopher Neal Blevins and his wife Melissa Blevins of McAllen, Texas, Anthony Bruce Blevins of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Patrick Ryan Terry and Michael Shae Terry of Maumelle, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Sara Beth Blevins of Phoenix, Arizona; one great-great-granddaughter, Madison Taylor Blevins of McAllen, Texas; two sisters, Lorene Williams of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Betty Branum of Bernie, Missouri. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Nadine Harmon and by one brother, R.B. Woods, Jr. Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, Missouri, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 20, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Bernie with Rev. Susan Marner-Sides officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to the United Methodist Church in Bernie in memory of Helen Maxine O'Heren. PAID
