Velma Friedrich

Velma Friedrich, 81, of Viburnum, formerly of Advance, was born July 3, 1921, at Steele, the daughter of the late Frank and Beulah Belle Rawls Miller, and passed away Dec. 6, 2002, at Salem Memorial Hospital in Salem. Mrs. Friedrich was a homemaker. She was a member of the Christian Church of Viburnum and a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Bell City. On Dec. 31, 1940, she was united in marriage to Roy Friedrich at Perkins, and he survives of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Ragsdale of Deep Water and Marilyn Sue Sellers of Viburnum; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by one son, R.W. "Butch" Friedrich and one brother. Visitation was held from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at the Morgan Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Civey officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
