Maude Imogene Davis, was born January 15, 1909 at Taskee and died Monday, Dec. 23, 2002 at her residence in Poplar Bluff where she had resided since 1945 at the age of 93. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and was a member of New Home General Baptist Church and formerly lived in the Lost Creek area near Shook. On Dec. 26, 1928 she was united in marriage to Howard R. Davis in Greenville. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1981. She is survived by three sons: Carl Davis, of Dexter; Delbert Davis, of Poplar Bluff; Bobby Davis, Stillman Valley, Ill.; two daughters: Betty Morgan, of Poplar Bluff; Patsy Witt, of Springfield; four sisters: Carmen Larry, of Decatur, Ill.; Helen Burchard, of Greenville; Hazel Kime, of Ashton, Ill.; Freida Lund, of Eagon, Minn.; three brothers: Frank Morgan, of Flowery Branch, Ga.; Truman Morgan, of Fisk; Junior Morgan, of Steward, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Friends may call Friday, Dec. 27 at 6 p.m., at the White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 28 at 10 a.m., at the White Sanders Funeral home in Fisk. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery in Shook. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
