Leo Uil Gray, son of the late John Albert Gray and Ora Ethel Beckham Gray, was born on Feb. 1, 1916, at St. James and died in the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the age of 86. Mr. Gray was of the Baptist faith, a former gas station attendant, a veteran of the United States Army and a resident of Dexter. Survivors include one son, Curtis Gray of Dexter; one daughter, Vicki Lynn Gray of Flint, Mich.; two brothers, Gaylord Gray of Dexter and Forrest Gray of Moberly; one sister, Laura Hart of Pittsburg, Texas; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Chenowith officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
