Bonnie Sue Cobb, the daughter of the late Wilburn Leroy "Dutch" and Maude Lenderman Cobb, was born in rural Stoddard County on Aug. 8, 1941, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau on Dec. 15, 2002, at the age of 61. Ms. Cobb had lived in the Gray Ridge and Essex communities all her life. She was of the Protestant faith. Surviving are two sisters, Betty Allred of Lilbourn and Sherry Dautel of Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Decalvis Cobb of Essex; two half-brothers, James Thompson of Alton and Bill Thompson of Wallingford, Ky. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Rev. Tom McCanless of Kewanee officiating. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
