Arcel Knuckles

Arcel E. Knuckles, son of Herschel and Stella (Downs) Knuckles, was born May 28, 1939, in Canalou and died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002 at his residence in Malden at the age of 63. Mr. Knuckles was a retired maintenance mechanic for the Sikeston Power Plant and was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church in Malden. Mr. Knuckles was united in marriage to Sharon Sue Brown on Jan. 16, 1987 in Morehouse. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his mother, Stella Knuckles, of Sikeston; two daughters, Cindy Jones, of Sikeston and Tammy Tucker, of Kennett; two sons, Darren Knuckles, of Fruitland and Brian Knuckles, of Calvert City; three step-children, Ladonna Silman, of Malden, Jason Bryant, of Malden, Carlin Glass, of Bernie; three sisters, Arlene Kirby, of Dexter, Carolyn Moore, of Sikeston, Donna Mallott, of Kennett; three brothers, Lloyd Knuckles, of Sikeston, Ronnie Knuckles, of Dexter, and Rick Knuckles, of Sikeston; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Mr. Knuckles was preceded in death by his father Herschel Knuckles. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 12 at the First Pentecostal Church at 305 South Edwards Street in Malden. Funeral services will start at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 13 at the First Pentecostal Church in Malden with the Rev. Leroy Young officiating. Interment will follow at the Rosewood First Addition Cemetery in Malden.
