Samuel L. Wyman, the son of Walter S. Wyman and the late Henrietta L. Wyman, was born in southeast Missouri on April 12, 1947, and died at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, at the age of 55. Mr. Wyman was a retired guidance counselor at DeSoto High School. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. On Dec. 19, 1970, he was married to Juanita A. Rapp in Missouri. Surviving are his wife, Juanita A. Wyman of DeSoto; two sons, Bryan S. Wyman of St. Louis and Todd A. Wyman of Maplewood; his father, Walter S. Wyman of Essex; and one sister, Sandra Smith of Sikeston. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at the Mahn Funeral Home in DeSoto. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in DeSoto with Fr. Ron Hopmier officiating. Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery in Idalia with Mahn Funeral Home of DeSoto in charge of arrangements.
