Chessie Radke

Chessie Radke, daughter of the late Ed Rogers and Anna Gibson Rogers, was born on Dec. 14, 1905, at Higginsville and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Dec. 8, 2002, at the age of 96. She was united in marriage to Victor William Radke on July 31, 1932, at Kansas City. Mr. Radke preceded her in death on March 18, 1941. Mrs. Radke was of the Baptist faith, retired from General Motors, and a resident of Dexter. Survivors include one son, Lowell Radke of The Woodlands, Texas; one daughter, Marilyn J. Kern of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Peggy Stoll of Dexter; three grandsons; and one great-grandchild. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
