Syble Burnett

Syble Burnett, the daughter of the late Joab and Mary Ellen Thompson, was born in Enola Faulkner County, Ark., on Nov. 19, 1910, and died at the Malden Nursing Center in Malden on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at the age of 92. Mrs. Burnett was a homemaker and had lived in the Parma area for 63 years. On Oct. 20, 1930, she was married to John T. Burnett in Lonoke County, Ark. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1982. Surviving are two sons, John Elwood Burnett of Campbell and Richard Curtis Burnett of Parma; five daughters, Marry Ann Marshal of Gladewater, Texas, Martha Gene Burnett of St. Louis, Vesta Louise Burnett of St. Louis, Beulah Grace Lottes of Salisburry, N.C., and Patsy Ellen Larson of Imperial; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Rev. Gene Lancaster of Malden officiating. Interment followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Parma in charge of arrangements.
