Leon Cannady

Leon Cannady, the son of the late Clarence and Goldie Creason Cannady, was born in Como on Jan. 5, 1942, and died near Marble Hill on Nov. 18, 2002, at the age of 60. Mr. Cannady had lived all his life in the Parma area. He was a member of the Church of God in Parma. He was a farmer. On March 17, 1972, he was married to Judy Cullum in New Madrid. Surviving are his wife, Judy Cannady of Parma; two sons, Christopher Cannady of Parma, Calvin Davidson of Malden; three daughters, Tammy Lee and Tina Thurman, both of Tallapoosa, and Vicky Cravens of Parma; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Hubert Cannady of Malden, Ronnie and William Cannady, both of Bernie; and one sister, Beulah Brown, of Alton, Ill. Visitation will be held after 5:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma with Bro. Carl O'Dell of Parma officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery in Malden with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Parma in charge of arrangements.
