Billy Gene Boyle

Billy Gene Boyle, son of the late Luther Eli Boyle and Rosa Mae Hawkins Boyle, was born on Dec. 3, 1930, at Old Hickory, Ark., and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Nov. 10, 2002, at the age of 71. Mr. Boyle was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Bernie and served the church as deacon, a member of the Masonic Lodge #573 of Bernie, a 32nd Degree Mason having received a 50-year pin on Oct. 17, 2002, a farmer, and a resident of Bernie. He was united in marriage to Hazel Heigle on Sept. 22, 1947, at Piggott, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Boyle of the home in rural Bernie; two sons, David Boyle of Beaumont, Texas, and Scott Boyle of Malden; one daughter, Deborah Boyle McMilliam of Midlothian, Texas; one brother, Roy Boyle of Bernie; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, I.G. Boyle, Dick Boyle, J.M. Boyle, Gordon Boyle, and L.E. Boyle; one sister, Ruth Boyle Shelton. Visitation was held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie with a Masonic Service held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. O.H. Brooks and Rev. Tim Ingles officiating. Interment followed in the Bernie Cemetery at Bernie.
